Who is responsible

What data is collected
If you use the form, you give four details. All four are needed: without them the request cannot be answered.
- Full name
- To address you by name.
- Phone
- To reply to you, on WhatsApp if you use it.
- To reply to you and send you a copy of the request.
- Your question
- What you write in the message: date, number of people, questions.
The site also adds, on its own, the tour you are asking about, the language of the page and the address of the page you write from, plus a short reference to identify the request. That way nobody has to ask you again what it is about.
If you write on WhatsApp, Alfredo receives your number, your profile name and the messages you send.
When you visit the site, the server that hosts it processes technical connection data, such as your IP address and browser, to serve the pages and protect them from abuse. This site uses no analytics or advertising tools.
What it is used for
- Replying to your request
- Answering you, clearing up your questions and giving you availability and conditions.
- Arranging the booking
- Only if you decide to book: passing the local operator the details it needs and confirming the booking to you.
- Sending you a copy
- A copy of the request to the email you give, so you know it has arrived.
Your data is not used to send you advertising, it is not sold, and no automated decisions or profiles are made with it.
Legal basis
Your data is processed because you ask for it: these are steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you book, the basis becomes the performance of the booking contract. That is why the form has no consent tick box.
Technical connection data is processed on the basis of the legitimate interest in keeping the site running and protected (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who else receives your data
Only those who need it to handle your request:
- Local operator
- The Budapest company that runs the tour receives the details needed to make the booking, and only if you decide to book.
- Web hosting
- Vercel Inc., which hosts the site and processes the form when you send it.
- The email provider for the toursguidebudapest.com domain, which sends the request and the copy you receive.
- Meta, which provides WhatsApp, only if you choose that channel. WhatsApp processes your data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Vercel and the email provider process data on the owner's behalf and only to provide their service. Beyond these cases, data is not shared with anyone unless the law requires it.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some of these providers, such as Vercel and Meta, may process data outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States. Those transfers are made with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long it is kept
The site does not store requests in any database: they travel by email to the owner's inbox and to yours.
If the request does not end in a booking, the data is kept only for as long as it is needed to reply to you. If you book, it is kept for the duration of the booking and then for as long as legal obligations require or while a claim could still be made.
Your rights
You can exercise these rights over your data at any time:
- Access
- Find out what data about you is processed and get a copy.
- Rectification
- Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure
- Ask for it to be deleted.
- Objection
- Object to a specific use of it.
- Restriction
- Ask for it to be kept but not used while a question about it is resolved.
- Portability
- Receive the data you gave in a commonly used format, to take it to another service.
To exercise them, write to info@toursguidebudapest.com saying which right you want to exercise. You will get a reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest, as the GDPR requires. If there is reasonable doubt about your identity, you may be asked for something to confirm it.
Complaints to the authority
If you think your data has not been handled properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live, where you work or where you believe the breach took place.

This site is not intended for children. If you are under age, ask a parent or guardian to send the request for you.
